When training for a big race, I believe elevation gained is as important as distance travelled. I created RiseOverRun to help keep track of elevation gained in workouts and to set goals around how much elevation you've gained.
Simply create a target elevation and complete run, walk, or hike workouts with Apple Watch or any 3rd party workout app that saves to workout data to HealthKit. Then check rise over run to see your current progress.
RiseOverRun can integrate with either Strava or HealthKit and the Apple Health app.
